The cherry
The cherry is a member of the same family of plant as the rose. it is closely related to the plum. Like cherry trees, plum trees also flower in early spring. Cherry to be native though to western Asia. There are two major kinds of cherries harvested in the world, it is sweet and sour. Sour cherries are not eaten fresh because they contain little sugar. Instead they are process to make prepare food like jellies, pies and to make alcoholic drinks. The US is a major producer of sour cherries. Among the state Michigan is the production. Russia, Poland, and turkey are other important cherry production nation. Sweet cherry contains much sugar than sour cherry and usually eaten fresh. Washington State is the biggest American production followed by California n Oregon. US, Iran n turkey are major production of sweet cherries. Fresh cherry do not store well. They must reach market as soon as possible so they cost more than many kinds other fresh fruit.
